I was thinking of putting a drink recipe on Our Heathy Eating with a link back to the Sip and Mingle event that hubby and I attended a couple of weeks ago. However, I came to the conclusion it fits best here. The folks at Total Wine and More passed along an interesting recipe that might be good for the summer so I am going to share it here but with attribution to Total Wine, Tukwila store:
Frosé
Ingredients:
1 tray Rosé Ice cubes
1/4 cup Vodka
2 Tbsp Grenadine
2 Tbsp Sugar (consider substituting honey or agave nectar)
2 cups Strawberries
Directions:
- Pour the Rosé into ice cube trays and freeze until solid, 8 hours or overnight
- Combine the strawberries and the sugar in the bowl of a blender and let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes, until the berries begin to release their juices.
- Add the vodka, grenadine and Rosé cubes. Blend the mixture on high until smooth. Pour into glasses and garnish with strawberries (adding a sprig of mint if available).
ENJOY!!!
