Sip and Mingle Drink Recipe

I was thinking of putting a drink recipe on Our Heathy Eating with a link back to the Sip and Mingle event that hubby and I attended a couple of weeks ago. However, I came to the conclusion it fits best here.  The folks at Total Wine and More passed along an interesting recipe that might be good for the summer so I am going to share it here but with attribution to Total Wine, Tukwila store:

Frosé

Frosé

Ingredients:

1 tray Rosé Ice cubes

1/4 cup Vodka

2 Tbsp Grenadine

2 Tbsp Sugar (consider substituting honey or agave nectar)

2 cups Strawberries

Directions:

  1.  Pour the Rosé into ice cube trays and freeze until solid, 8 hours or overnight
  2. Combine the strawberries and the sugar in the bowl of a blender and let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes, until the berries begin to release their juices.
  3. Add the vodka, grenadine and Rosé cubes.  Blend the mixture on high until smooth.  Pour into glasses and garnish with strawberries (adding a sprig of mint if available).
